Also, completed a 5 x8 moleskin sketchbook. November 1 through November 30. I am listening to the ArtJuice podcast.
Louise Fletcher and Ann Sheridan. Todays podcast is how do you find support for your art?
Louise talking about where she gets help - a bookkeeper, a yard person, doggie daycare. Ann talking about connecting with other artists. Ann has artist friends that she meets with. Louise does not.
Creating a space for your self where you are supported - this is a good session. Since I am considering full retirement and do wonder what will I fill my time with?
They are talking about small things they have others do - that give them more time to do art. Learning to say No. Louise has a coach - that could help. But later.
Photo from Pinterest is a representation of what I did in class.
Fun, brush work, limited palette, adding marks, letting the paint colors blend. I could do the series again. It was great playtime in a sketchbook and on other small pieces of watercolor paper.
I am thinking behind the scenes, behind the current, work I need to make an effort to use all of the art supplies I have. An objective for 2022. I am really curious about ink - want to buy ink. But I must have some on hand to use up to play with. The ink thing is Louise Fletchers YouTube demonstration of sketchbook ink abstracts. My next project.
Back to ArtJuice - Louise works alone. Ann likes to work with groups. I am not sure - I feel less than when I am in a class with others. The critic shows up. I never feel good enough.
