I discovered two Helens. They are my current muses. UK and Scotland - abstract view of the landscapes around them, even as part of a daily sketchbook practice. This is what I am experimenting with.
Helen Terry and Helen Glassford. Helen Terry talks about the frustration of doing a daily practice in their sketchbook and the challenge of waiting for a page to dry before moving to the next page. Marks in the sketchbook as part of the daily practice.
This resonates with me and gives me inspiration to do something similar. Even if some of the sketches look alike - this is a series of abstract landscapes and shapes and line drawings.
