Latest Sketchbook Inspiration - Alice Sheridan

Over the last few days I have done several sketchbook and small watercolor paper pieces after studying Alice Sheridan.  I find them - using her pieces to prompt me, freeing.  I just put marks, flows of paint in my sketchbook.   Again, loosely modeled after some of her work.  Limited palette, small pieces, quickly done,

During some of these creative periods, I have listened to her and Louise Fletcher in the last PodCast episode of the year of 2021 of ArtJuice.

Earlier today I listened to my other favorite Louise, Louise Erdrich read The Sentence.   Pandemic and the bookstore ghost.  How one can be haunted during these unusual times. Tookies unique voice (reminds me of Virginia).

I will add photos of some of the sketchbook work - my current art project.

I have also been faced with infidelity, cheating and lying again.  I am reminded of how some people are totally self absorbed and the way one chooses to go through challenges like cancer and covid - actually determine the experience one has with enduring.  I witness self absorption, no matter who is hurt.

There is a change - I am resilient and I was only "hurt" for a nano second.  I feel pity,.   Crazy, desperate behavior while cancer takes its toll.  Some people going through an experience like this may want to spend more quality time with their family, wrapping up loose ends, sharing about what is next.
