Circles

I am drawing circles.  Circles, because I seem to be unable to move beyond circles as a creative exercise.   I am beginning to figure out the why.  It is summer at the cabin, I am spending more time outside mostly walking and paddling.  The walking is up and down the hill to the lake from the cabin, down the road, maybe to the mailbox.  It is too buggy to spend too much time walking too far.  The mosquitos and horseflies, we call them are very persistent and in large numbers.  One must be covered in bug spray.   So much that the chemical that kills the bugs, or keeps them from landing, they are still very much present - makes my lips numb.  I am chemically altering I sit myself as I keep the bugs at bay.

I am here.  Frozen,  not having the wits or drive to go forward.  What would going forward look like?

Let's flip the narrative, at least I do or did make circles.  I did take a class - Breathing Underwater - mostly doing the work.  I manage to write Morning Pages most mornings, though usually write these pages much later during the day.
